What is Retinitis Pigmentosa

A genetic condition that causes progressive loss of vision in dim light initially related to the rod cells and in daylight due to involvement of the cone cells. This condition affects the retina’s response to light. The retina is a layer of cells lining the back of the eye that senses light and converts it into nerve impulses.

If untreated, the patient gradually loses his or her vision, resulting in permanent blindness.

Treatment of Retinitis Pigmentosa in Ayurveda/Siddha
