Towards creating a healthier society Chennai Heritage Hospital organizes awareness programs / Health Camps / Health talks on various issues of health and hygiene.
Chennai Heritage Hospital has partnered with Lions Club, Rotary Club, Colleges, Schools, NGOs, Local Government bodies to see to that customized health camps are organized extensively across Tamil Nadu offering comprehensive health services – curative, preventive, promotive and referral, to a large number of people in selected intervention areas.
Information about the conduct of health awareness sessions and camps is widely canvassed by our hospital well in advance. Through these activities, our hospital ensures that such programs reach maximum number of people.
At medical camps we provide basic treatment and general check up to help people be aware of their health status. CHH organizes a team of doctors, Dietician, nurses and a lab technician who work tirelessly to see that every patient is attended to.Referrals are made to the nearby hospitals or CHH.

Hepatitis B&C and Diabetes Detection Camp at CHH – more than 100 were screened, 16 uncontrolled sugars were detected and advised with life style modification and strict diet and medications. 3 Hep-B were identified and were treated with followups.
Bone Mineral Density Camp and Diabetes Detection camp at CHH – More than 80 were screened, BMI, random blood sugar, bone mineral density tests were done. 16 were detected Osteoporotic, 29 were detected osteopenic and 26 had elevated blood sugar levels. Appropriate advices and treatments were given with followups.
Osteoporosis camp for retired police personals at Porur – More than 260 people attended the camp. Followed by a indept awareness speech, BMD and random blood sugar tests were done and 62 were detected osteoporotic, 98 were detected osteopenic and 78 were have elevated blood sugar levels. Appropriate advices , medications were given and followups werew done.
Rotary – Springfield School, KK Nagar - Camps: In association with Rotary club of Chennai Golden Star, Regular camps are being conducted at this location. School children, teachers and parents were educated about Indian Systems of Medicine and Osteoporosis followed by the camps where BMD was done and appropriate advices and medications are being given.Church of the Good Shephard, Near Music Academy, Chennai – Awareness Speech / Camp: our Director Dr.A.Ramalingam delivered an hour speech on current health issues and ways to overcome them and a health camp was conducted in which more than 90 got benefitted, free medicines were distributed and were adviced for followup.
